Questo lavoro si pone al confine tra mondo animale e mondo vegetale. Le parti che potrebbero essere associate a dei ‘fiori’ sono in realtà dei nidi di vespe, da cui si protendono dei fili (in rame) che veicolano l’idea di comunicazione tra parti diverse dello stesso sistema. La somiglianza si potrebbe trovare anche con il nostro sistema nervoso: neuroni che scambiano miliardi di informazioni. Mi affascina l’idea di abbattere il muro tra questi due mondi, quello vegetale e quello animale, una delle evoluzioni possibili per far continuare la vita sulla terra a dispetto dei nostri tentativi (inconsci?) per farla cessare.

This work stands on the border between the animal world and the plant world. The parts that have the appearance of ‘flowers’ are actually wasp nests, from which copper wires protrude and convey the idea of communication between different parts of the same system. The similarity could also be found with our nervous system: neurons that exchange billions of information. I am fascinated by the idea of breaking down the wall between these two worlds, the plant and animal world, one of the possible evolutions to continue life on earth despite our (unconscious?) attempts to stop it.
